Diego Delgado-Elias

A graduate of L’Ecole Especiale d’Architecture in Paris, Peruvian Diego Delgado-Elias is a Paris-based architect whose practice includes architecture, interior design and jewellery. After working for over ten years at an international architecture firm, Diego Delgado-Elias recently created his own firm, and has completed several projects in Paris and his home country, Peru.

For this jewelry collection he has designed a series of unusual silver rings inspired by the instruments that architects use to design and create models of their buildings. Suggesting functionality and the joy of creating something using one’s own hands, the pieces are designed based on the four basic tools that can be found in every architect’s toolbox: the set square, the protractor, the water level and the architect’s scale. Handcrafted in brushed silver, the rings are then finished using 3D-printing and laser-cutting techniques.
