Jean-Luc Moulène

Born in Reims (France) in 1955, Jean-Luc Moulène lives and works in Paris since 1975.
The body of works of Jean-Luc Moulène is highly diversified : drawings, paintings, many photographs – mostly in series -, newspapers, books, brochures and sculptures. Since 2000, many of his shows include both photographs and sculptures.
Represented by parisian gallery Chantal Crousel and London gallery Thomas Dane, Moulène’s first major solo show was hosted by Dia:Beacon in 2011.

The ring “OS” (bone in english) is the first sculpture-jewel by Moulène. It was conceived at the occasion of the artist’s solo show at Centre Pompidou – Paris (October 2016 – February 2017).

The second project by Jean-Luc Moulène for MiniMasterpiece is untitled “NousDeux” and follows a unique protocol. Shaped by you, this jewel is the direct result of the pressure exerted on silver clay by your palm and that of your loved one.

This project was born in 2018, and thanks to the discovery of an innovative material, it will be reborn in 2023: Silver Clay. This solid silver clay will be placed and then pressed by your two intertwined palms. He will print the shape and the imprints of your two palms to make it a singular wearable work which will then be validated by the artist.
