Marianne Anselin

Born in 1980 in Lille, Marianne Anselin is a jewellery designer and maker, and her workshop is based in Paris since 2007. Her work is exhibited permanently and occasionally in several galleries in France and abroad (Switzerland, Belgium, Germany and Quebec). In 2009 her first solo exhibition took place at the Espace Solidor in Cagnes-sur-Mer, and in 2013 she took part in the exhibition «Dans la ligne de mire, scène du bijou contemporain en France» at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris as well as in the exhibition «Reflet(s)» at the Palais de Tokyo. One of her pieces was selected for the Museum of Modern Art landmark exhibition «Médusa, bijoux et tabous» in 2017.
Her work is present in various private and public collections (Musée des Arts Décoratifs de Paris, La piscine Musée d’Art et d’Industrie de Roubaix, and the collection of the city of Cagnes-sur-Mer)
Marianne Anselin works mainly in metal, especially iron. She borrows from nature forms and materials to question the jewel, often playing around the confusion between nature and culture.
