Aurélia Bire

Aurelia Bire, born in France in 1974, is an object and furniture designer. A graduate of the Boston Consulting Group and Chelsea College of Art and Design in London, Aurelia carries on the legacy of the most illustrious French interior design firm of the 20th century, Maison Jansen, which was headed for several decades by her grandfather Pierre Deshays. Her creations, inspired by nature and landscapes, address universal themes and simple gestures. Thanks to her eclectic training and experience, Aurelia has a unique approach to projects, blurring the boundaries between categories and reinventing the classic way things are done.

In 2019, Aurélia was the winner of the first edition of the FD100 by VIA (Association for the Promotion of Innovation in Furniture), an initiative supported by Philippe Starck. Unveiled at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, the French Design 100 is a list of 100 designers of objects and spaces whose creations promote France internationally.
