“The origin of the Kulubá jewelry collection—necklaces, earrings, and brooches—can be traced back to a small sketch that has been pinned to one of the walls of my studio for several years. A simple sketch drawn in black marker on plain paper—the kind you might doodle spontaneously during long phone conversations: an arrangement of small squares and rectangles of varying sizes, placed side by side, forming an irregular grid that creates its own outline, inscribed within an almost oblong shape.
