David Dubois
David Dubois, an independent designer and scenographer, graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle (Paris) in 2003. He works in the fields of design and fashion, alternating between research projects, personal projects, commissions, and collaborations. He lives and works in Paris.
His approach to design is marked by a constant commitment to reinventing our everyday environment. David Dubois combines, recycles, and adapts the usefulness of objects and unexpected elements in a totally innovative way. His work—the result of ongoing research and combinations of various materials, with a preference for textiles and soft materials—encourages a new appropriation of space.
Since setting up his studio in 2005—duboisproduct—the artist has collaborated with companies in the industrial and luxury sectors, as well as museums and galleries. His collaborations include those with Bless, Issey Miyake, the Kreo gallery, L'Herbe Rouge, Christian Lacroix, Lalique, Kronenbourg, Mudam, Villa Noailles, CIAV, CIRVA, and the Kadist Art Foundation.
David Dubois' work is included in major permanent collections such as those of the Grand-Hornu, Villa Noailles, Mudam, FMAC (Fonds Municipal d'Art Contemporain), FNAC (Fonds National d'Art Contemporain), and the Centre Pompidou.
David Dubois has been collaborating with the MiniMasterpiece gallery since 2015.
