Maurice Marty

Maurice Marty (born in 1935) is a French designer and interior decorator who has been active since the 1960s. 
A product of a generation shaped by the postwar modernist movement, he focused on developing furniture that was both functional and bold, in harmony with the formal innovations of his time.

Trained in the decorative arts, he quickly turned to the design of furniture and lighting, favoring clean geometric lines and combinations of understated yet refined materials. His creations, often made of lacquered metal, light wood, or laminate, are distinguished by a strong sense of modularity and structural clarity. At the same time, he designed numerous interiors for nightclubs, hotels, and high-end fashion boutiques in Paris and internationally.
