Maïlys Seydoux Dumas
Graduated form Arts Décoratifs school of Paris in 1992, after training in engraving in Jean Clerté’s studio, Maïlys Seydoux Dumas joins in her work painting to engraving, to tapestry, and now to the realization of jewelry-sculptures.
She maintains a permanent dialogue with the world around her through color, material and design. For Maïlys, jewelry is like pieces of a protective dream that magnifies women.
On the occasion of her collaboration with MiniMasterpiece, the artist presents in the gallery a set of six jewels (3 necklaces, 2 rings and 1 bracelet) entitled Pomona. Her friend Haïm Kern, a French artist of German origin, sends us this poem:
Pomona, goddess of the orchard
You peel me, Laguiolle,
said the green apple,
make me a corolla
that around my neck I will wear.
