Aki et Arnaud Cooren
Founded in 1999 by Aki and Arnaud Cooren, the Franco-Japanese studio A+A Cooren draws inspiration from the antagonism of nature, a gentle tension in harmony with its context, to create interiors and objects that generate harmony.
Aki grew up in Tokyo. After spending a year in the United States, she returned to Paris at the age of 18 to study interior and product design at the École Camondo, where she met Arnaud, who is from northern France. He became interested in art during his childhood and studied contemporary art in Belgium before moving to Paris.
Since opening their design studio Aki+Arnaud Cooren in 1999, they have worked on interior design, product and furniture projects, as well as scenography for brands such as Shiseido, Artemide, L'Oréal, Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres, Yamagiwa, Saint Louis, Boffi Bains, Cartier, and Vertigo Bird. They also create special pieces for private clients and collaborate with architects on interior design projects.
In 2017, they won the Dialogue de L'Intelligence de la Main award.
They collaborated with the MiniMasterpiece gallery in 2016 to create a set of four necklaces.
