Jean Grisoni
Born in Algeria in 1950, Jean Grisoni draws most of his inspiration from his native Mediterranean.
Marked by his roots, his brutalist poetry is imbued with the mineral aridity of the coastline, the unique light of the desert's rough terrain, the discreet and austere sensuality of its inhabitants, and the power of cultural references that permeate every moment.
Artistic director in the world of image, graphic designer, typographer, photographer, jewelry designer, designer of precious objects and furniture, Jean Grisoni is a jack of all trades. After a long period spent in the world of jewelry and contemporary jewelry, he naturally turned to the creation of artist's furniture. His style is one of brutal poetry: for him, the secret to unadulterated emotion lies in the modesty of effects. His style is marked by the contrasts he likes to play with: smooth and rough, poor and precious, matte and shiny, brutality and sophistication.
Polished or rusted steel, driftwood, antique pearls, gold, silver, bronze—Grisoni combines and plays with these raw or precious elements to compose his jewelry, each piece unique and handcrafted. Over time, the chain has become the backbone of his wearable sculptures, which he creates and recreates without ever repeating himself. A refined and powerful exercise in style.
He has been collaborating with the MiniMasterpiece gallery since 2015.
