Walid Akkad
Ignoring trends and fashions, Walid Akkad, the famous French-Lebanese jewelry designer, creates unique pieces and collections that skillfully blend absolute luxury and simplicity. Passionate about art and the history of jewelry since childhood, Walid Akkad learned his craft in Paris at the Haute École de Joaillerie.
From the beautiful Mediterranean where he was born, he draws inspiration from light, before finding in Italian, French, and English gardens a source of inspiration that combines his love of nature and his passion for architecture. Refining his initial training by working with craftsmen—founders, setters, polishers—he collaborated with the Houses of Place Vendôme and participated in numerous international salons in Paris, London, Geneva, Monaco, New York, and elsewhere.
When invited by the gallery in 2021, Walid Akkad responded with... a wave. Both in its movement and in the shimmering of the water and foam, this ring is inspired by an infinitely gentle breaking wave, seeming to wrap itself around the finger in an ever-repeating motion.
The invitation is renewed in 2024 and 2025, giving rise to the Dé d'argent cuff and earrings.
